Motion detection using a linux system and an Android mobile

is just easy: I did install IP Webcam on the Droid and motion using aptitude on the ubuntu system (aptitude install motion).

After starting IP Webcam on the droid I edited /etc/motion/motion.conf, disabled the entry videodevice and added an netcam_url http://<ip-address-of-the-droid>:8080/videofeed, started motion, and voilà: It just did work 🙂
