Building a github project using maven and deploying to bintray

I did not find a way to deploy artefacts using maven directly to bintray like I did for deploying to oss-sonatype.

So I used the default parent-pom and called

mvn release:prepare

followed by

mvn release:perform -Darguments=”-DaltDeploymentRepository=tmp::default::file:///tmp/repo”

and uploaded the files that were “deployed” to /tmp/repo manually.

Update

Should take a look at https://github.com/bintray/bintray-examples/blob/master/maven-example/

One Response to Building a github project using maven and deploying to bintray

  1. JBaruch says:

    Also, don’t forget that you can’t deploy Snapshots to Bintray (it’s a distribution platform, for snapshots only). If you have an opensource project, which is linked to JCenter (or eligible for linking), you can get a user at oss.jfrog.org and store your snapshots there. Then, when you’re ready to release, it’s one REST API query (or one button click if you are using Jenkins).
